Experience using Unyte for 500+ participants?
Feb 19th, 2008, 1:32pm

This is the old Webdialogs software - IBM recently bought the company.  I'm helping an IBM sales group with some large events and wondered if anyone had large group experience w/this software.

quick note - I noticed where a Untye sales rep refered to the product as STUnyte.  Yay!  As IBM Lotus Sametime Unyte is ... well... (I think Ken touched on this in his blog)  also - Unyte always looked like "un-tye" to me, which isn't a good mental image when trying to bring everyone together in a session.

Normally when we tried having any kind of net session or netmeeting with a huge amount of participants, our softwares or machines used to hang or we would have several people dropping out of the meetings randomly. We switched to RHUB's web conferencing appliance - http://www.rhubcom.com and so far havent faced any freezing etc problems. Its quite a fast and stable appliance which is what we required for our organization.
